Thinking about power saving?
Here's a easy hack fore your PC PSU that can turn off your screen, printer, network switch.. etc.
First you take the PSU out of your PC.
Find the parts you need:
Power out connector and solid state relay.
I made a nice littel PCB whit UV LED's fore my solid state relay.
Then you need to find the right voltages.
First you need to find 5V (red) and GND (black).
Then solder a wire to each. The yellow and blue wire is +12V and -12V to make 24v whitce i needed for a bigger fan.
Whit the PCB out it is essayer to install the power out connector.
When it's done and the PCB is back in it should look kinda like this.
Connect the 5V and GND to the solid state relay input and power to the output.
Mack shur that you connect the power right so it doesn't short circuit when the solidstatrelay is activated.
Before putting the solidstaterelay in to the PSU make shur it is good isolated.
You should test the PSU before putting the cover back on.
You can do that by putting a jumper betvin PS_ON# (green) and GND (black).
If it's all good put the PSU back together and you are good to go.
